I hear from loads of my fellow authors, especially those who are starting out who want help, advice, support, etc, and I love passing on what I know - although it's not much!

I can't look at manuscripts - full time authoring doesn't leave me much spare time, but I'm not the best judge of your work, anyway. You are! Imagine if you asked somebody's opinion on your fledgling authoring and they didn't like what you wrote. (Remember some people don't like chocolate or doughnuts or any other thing which you think is amazing!) Imagine their opinion put you off ever writing again. Imagine all the great books that you wouldn't write because of one person's opinion.

I know what it's like to be new and want validation and permission and support. But you can do it. Don't give anybody else power over you and your life.

If you are ready to be an author - have faith in yourself. You can do it - write the book. Get it edited. Get a cover. Publish. You can do it. You don't need me or any other author to look at your work.

The best thing I can do is share the resources that help me. So here you go...!

Other resources...

Sarra Cannon's Heart Breathings Youtube channel covers everything - mindset, plotting, editing. I think it's incredible. Click here to visit! If you subscribe you get access to lots of printouts, all for free. Sarra does run paid courses - both of which I've done - but there is enough free info to keep you going for a long time!

Nicholas Erik's website if choc full of awesome information. Again, he runs paid courses, none of which I've done but only because I don't have spare cash at the moment! But the wealth of free information is staggering - extremely comprehensive and ridiculously helpful. I have just added his paperbacks on productivity and marketing to my arsenal as well - and I would happily recommend him - and if you sign up to his newsletter you'll be in the loop! Check it out here!

Mark Dawson is another successful indie author happy to share his knowledge and offer his support to us coming up after him. His facebook group is full of advice, information, inspiration, and is an active forum for authors who need answers! He offers paid courses - which I have taken - and free information via newsletters. Sign up here!
